This Privacy Policy describes how NeuroDuo Research (“NeuroDuo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal and research information obtained through the NeuroDuo™ Alpha Study application and website.
The Study evaluates memory recall, focus, and cognitive resilience among adults aged 65-75 over a 30-day testing period.

We collect data necessary to operate the study platform and conduct research:

Account Information

• First and last name
   
• Birth year (for eligibility verification)
   
• Email address and password (securely hashed)
   
• Phone number (optional, for SMS reminders)
   
• Time zone and preferred daily reminder time
   

Study Participation Data

• Daily cognitive recall responses
   
• Engagement activity (streaks, points, milestones)
   
• Time and frequency of participation
   

System & Device Data

• IP address, browser type, and operating system
   
• Anonymous analytics to monitor app performance
   

We do not collect biometric, genetic, or medical records.

We use your data to:

• Register and authenticate accounts
   
• Send reminders, notifications, and updates
   
• Conduct aggregate and anonymized analysis of study results
   
• Improve platform usability and research quality
   
• Comply with applicable data protection and research standards
   

No automated decision-making or profiling is performed beyond the scope of study analytics.

Data is collected and processed under participant consent in compliance with:

• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU/UK)
   
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA – USA)
   

Participants may withdraw consent at any time.

• Study Data: Anonymized and aggregated research data are retained for up to 60 months (5 years) for longitudinal analysis and scientific publication.
   
• Personal Data: Personally identifiable information (PII) is retained for up to 60 days following study completion, or 30 days after voluntary withdrawal, whichever occurs first.
   
• All personal data are then securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
   

• All data are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
   
• Servers are located in secure data centers in the United States.
   
• Access is limited to authorized NeuroDuo research personnel under confidentiality agreements.
   

We may share anonymized or aggregated data only with:

• Approved research institutions or partners
   
• Cloud infrastructure and analytics providers bound by data processing agreements
   

We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
   
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
   
• Request deletion of your account and associated information
   
• Obtain a copy of your data in portable format
   
• Withdraw consent and discontinue participation at any time
   

Requests can be submitted to support@neuroduo.net and will be processed within 30 days.

If data are transferred outside your country, we ensure equivalent protection via standard contractual clauses and secure processing standards.

NeuroDuo may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Participants will be notified of material changes via email or in-app notice.
